Nodame Cantabile Volume 1 Cover

I’m a self-proclaimed Nodame fan. But how could I be a real fan if I have not seen the manga where it was based from? How dare me?

So now, I decided to start and follow the manga of Nodame Cantabile of Tomoko Ninomiya. I don’t know if I will watch the drama but the manga is of course the top priority.

Reading the manga came to my mind because I envy those who commented Nodame Cantabile Paris Chapter very fast-paced or something… that I, a self-proclaimed fan, don’t even know.

I plan to blog what I think of it every volume or two.

Nodame Cantabile Paris Chapter

Nodame Cantabile Paris Chapter has ended. Awww. I’ll say bye to Nodame for a while. I will miss her voice and her piano.

Nodame Cantabile Paris Chapter is an 11-episode sequel to the first season of 23 episodes. But mind you, all those 34 episodes are heart-warming and enjoyable. This series never fails to soothe me and make me forget everything else… that’s why I love Nodame. It’s a little sad because, obviously, the second season has ended, but I’m still happy because another season will be aired on Fall 2009 (What a long wait!)  but it’s ok because it’s better than no next season at all.

I know that Nodame is not that popular especially to those not acquainted with anime series so let me tell you something about the 2 main characters.

Noda Megumi

She is my Noda Megumi. That’s right, her real name is not Nodame… she just wants to be called Nodame. She may not be the girl in your dreams but she has this ‘thingy’ in her that will certainly make the audience love her. She may be bad at cooking and cleaning, but mind you, she is an exceptional pianist. Nodame is also loved because of her sweet sweet lines ~mukyaa and ~gyaboo and other weird sounds you can imagine. In love with Chiaki, she follows him around constantly, claiming to be his “wife,” and leans on him to help her get through stuffs. I’ll miss you, Nodame!

Chiaki Shinichi (千秋真一)

Chiaki Shinichi is an accomplished pianist and violinist. He is also a conductor-in-the-making. Nodame loves him. Damn you, Chiaki! That’s it, I will not say anything more about this guy. *evil laugh*

Anyways, Nodame Cantabile Paris Chapter deserves to get a 10/10 from me. ^^
