Akane-iro ni Somaru Saka

Akane-iro ni Somaru Saka (translated as The Hill Dyed Rose Madder) is a 12-episode series concentrating on the story of a guy surrounded by many girls. Ooh, sounds like harem, but actually the romance is not that straightforward because the series is flavored with huge dose of comedy and school stuffs.

It’s kinda sad that the series has ended but it’s a good thing that things ended that way. Ha ha.

9406lSome people say that from when they start watching Akane-iro, thay had the strong feeling of Dejavu. They’re right! I felt that too. *cough* Da Capo *cough*. That’s right, this series resembles the original Da Capo series. Both the main guy’s name is Junichi, and he’s living with his sister. But of course, Akane-iro’s Minato is not as annoying as Da Capo’s Nemu. Ha ha ha.

I can’t say much about this series aside from the superb art and settings. The plot line is not that original and it’s comedic features are not that original too. But there’s something in Akane-iro that made me enjoy watching it, I honestly don’t know what it is, but I know that something exists. *what the?*

There’s something disturbing about the last scenes of the final episodes of the series – not actually disturbing but it’s something to be curious about. I’m posting the screenshot but I’m not telling anything about it for the sake of those who have not started and finished the series.

I will give Akane-iro ni Somaru Saka 8/10 for the enjoyment it gave me. XD
